AMP Tower Australia is also known as Sydney Tower. It is oftentimes referred to as Centre point by the local people living there. It is the tallest free standing structure in Sydney. The Sydney Tower is listed in World Federation of Great Towers. There are many recreational activities you can take part in when you visit the Sydney Tower.

The construction of the shopping complex at the tower began during the late 1970s. In 1972, there were as many as 52 shops in the same area. The tower was opened for public viewing in the year 1981. The construction of the tower office was finally completed in 1974.

The AMP tower is regarded as one of the safest constructions in the world. It has withstood the tests of time including earthquakes and extreme climatic conditions.

The Centre point is located at 100 Market Sydney, NSW 2000. It is one of the tourist attractions, which attracts most number of tourists in Sydney. It is open 365 days a year from 9AM to 10.30PM.

The golden structure at the top can accommodate as many as 960 persons. There is an Observation Deck, a coffee lounge, and restaurants in 2 levels.

There are 56 cables that provide support to the structure.

Spire at the top of the tower helps in navigation and telecommunication

purpose.

There are 420 windows. A cleaning machine known as “Charlie” cleans all these windows. The machine is responsible for cleaning the windows and recycling and filtering around 50 liters of water.

Oz Trek is a fun activity that is one of its kinds. It can be enjoyed with your entire family. Only children less than 3 years are not allowed on the Oz Trek show.

You will be required to take a seat and strap yourself well. You will be seated in front of a theater screen that is 6 meters high at an angle of 180 degrees. With the help of special sound effects you will experience a journey through different places of interest in the city. Some of the places you can enjoy on Oz Trek include Harbour Bridge, Queensland’s Barron Gorge, River Tully, and Opera House. The total activity takes around 15 minutes.
