world in major cities and in places where Chinese population is dominant. Lantern Festival will mark the end of Chinese New Year celebration in New Zealand 2011. This festival is usually held when it is time to wrap up the celebrations.

You can buy tickets of the events mentioned above in advance as they tend to get sold off fast.

Part of the celebrations also include exchanging gifts, stitching new dresses, cleaning and decorating houses, buying gifts, attending parties and many other similar activities.

Lantern Festival marks the end of Lunar New Year festivities. Lanterns with images of dragon, lions, historical places, images of important people, and trees are flaunted in homes and other public places. In many places you will also find Lantern festival contests. The one who makes the best lantern wins a prize.
