Rockefeller Christmas Tree event


This is an annual Christmas event in New York attended by huge number of people.

The Rockefeller Christmas Tree features decorations and illuminations of a tall and big tree. The tree is set up between the 5th and 6th Avenues and can be seen from the buildings of 47th and 51st street of New York city. The Christmas tree of Rockefeller is lighted on November 30 and will remain the same until January 2. Rockefeller Center is popular for ice-skating.

Ice Skating in Bryant Park


Bryant Park is another place in the city where people can enjoy participating in the ice-skating competitions and shows. There are events on ice-skating divided in various age groups. Ice-skating takes place daily and there are no admission fees. Free ice-skating is available from Monday-Saturday. Saturday, the venue remains open past midnight. You might just have to rent the boots and equipments for few dollars.

Brooklyn Christmas Lights


The Brooklyn Bridge and its adjoining areas are wonderful place to cruise by during the Christmas season. There are 3-4 hour cruise rides that start from the Bay Ridge region. Along with natural beauty of the place, you can also stop over at the markets along the Bay. There are also many restaurants around the place for refreshments.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular


This is a show that lasts for around 90 minutes and part of the city’s Christmas traditions. The Radio City show features around 140 performers, great sets, colorful costumes, and background music. You can even take this opportunity to meet the famous Rockette. The first show of the Radio City took place in 1933, since then, most visitors make it to this place on Christmas night.
