High cottonwoods complement the natural splendor with their lush green presence.
There are several adventures offered by Havasu Falls for tourists with different tastes and preferences. Among them, camping at Havasu Campground or hiking with the help of mules are the most popular sports.
How to Reach Havasu Falls
The way to Havasu Falls start at Hualapai Hilltop, an area meant for parking but bereft of any facilities. There are several trekkers who spend the night at Hualapai Hilltop since it is much more convenient and comfortable to start the journey during the early morning hours when the sun is not so bright and the weather is comparatively cool. The closest towns are Seligman and Peach Springs located on Highway 66 which are approximately 90 miles and 68 miles respectively from Hualapai Hilltop. Once you reach Highway 66, just take Route 18 north. Be very careful as the sign for Route 18 is difficult to comprehend particularly when it is very dark.
