This national park in France is known to cover an area of 685 km² and is known to cover the 7 valleys of Roya, Bevera, Vesubie, Tinee, Haut Var/Cians and Ubaye inclusive of a peripheral zone which consists of 28 villages. This national park in France also houses the Historical Monument named Vallée des Merveilles or the valley of marvels. The vegetation of this area features holm oak, the Mediterranean olive tree, rhododendrons, firs, spruces, cembro pines and larches. The wildlife in the Mercantour Park comprises of stags and roebucks, hares and wild boars, partridges, eagles and buzzards including Italian Wolves.
The Port-Cros National Park known to be located in the Mediterranean island of Port-Cros which lies to the east of Toulon is known to have been built in the year 1967. Pyrenees National Park in France is known to be located in the departments of Hautes-Pyrenees and Pyrenees-Atlantiques in France and also boasts of its location in Alps. Tourists will come across numerous ski resorts like Les Trois Vallees, Tignes, Val d’Isere and La Plagne near the Vanoise National Park. One also comes across Little villages like those of Champagny-le-Haut, Champagny-le-Bas, La Chiserette, La Cuaz, Le Bois, Friburge and Séez located near this park.
