Eureka was built by Mr. Carr, a popular British who wanted to be close to 'Le Reduit', the governor's place. Later the ownership of this house was changed to Mr. Montmirail and then again to Mr. And Mrs. Robinson in 1812, and to Mr. Eugene Leclezio, father of Sir Eugene Leclezio, the chief justice and Henry Leclezio, the attorney and member of the Legislative Assembly in 1856.

Once you enter the Eureka, you will be greeted with the live history of the past. The environment changes immediately after you enter the house. All the antique furniture of the house would remind you of the Colonial life. The surrounding of the house is amazing to make you delighted. The topical nature along with the romantic flora would surely mesmerize you while you wander through the park of the house.
