The rich art of Mexico finds its expression in works of famous artists like Diego Rivera who painted the famous “Man at The Crossroads”. This painting was destroyed because it had the image of the communist leader Lenin. The art of Mexico showcases deep traditional style of art work. Mexico has got a very rich history. The traces of humans in Mexico dates back to some 40,000 years. The footprints of ancient human were discovered in the valley of Mexico.
For centuries Mexico was the land of hunter gatherers. The agriculture revolution in Mexico dates back to 9,000 years ago. This eventually led to the rise of many civilizations. The civilization that existed in Mexico went to all the cities with their monumental architecture, writing, mathematics, astronomical studies. The traces of these aspects are found in many historical sites of the country. Some of the places in Mexico like Mesoamerica and Aridoamerica were the major sites for many Amerindian civilizations.
