Sofia

This is located at an elevated ground by the side of a mountain and in between the pine forests. The monastery has got an excellent collection of old weapons, murals, coins, woodcarvings. One of the greatest attractions is the Bibles written on old parchments.

Rila is well known for its intricate and fascinating architectural pattern and layout. It was originally found in the 10th century by a holy man named Ivan Rilski. The monastery over the ages has acted as a storehouse of ancient Bulgarian culture, history and tradition.

Plovdiv, Central Bulgaria

If you travel to Central Bulgaria Polvdiv is one of the places that is a must visit. This is known as the second largest city in the country. The city was originally founded in 432 BC. The museum town of Plovdiv is divided by the River Maritsa. This has both a new and an old quarter commercial section. The old part houses some of the old and archaic buildings that date back to the 18th and 19th century. They are all in the customary National Revival style.
