Kusu Island: Kusu Island was called Pulau Tembakul in the past. It used to be a burial site of immigrants who died in quarantine on St. John's and Lazarus Islands.
These are tourist islands and have swimming lagoons. There are stony corals and pelagic fish or sea snake, sea fans, table corals and turtles. There is also the occasional sight of dolphins. Kusu Island is well developed today, mainly to support the steady stream of worshipers to the shrines on the island. On the ninth month of lunar calendar, about 130,000 people still throng the island's Da Ba Gong Temple or Temple of the Merchant God. The island with its two swimming lagoons is also a popular destination for day-trippers to enjoy the sun and sand.
Sister Islands: Two tranquil islands, Subar Laut and Subar Darat, are known as Sisters Island. Separated only by narrow strip of sea, their beaches laze in the sun and warm blue waters make snorkeling a favorite pastime. Abundant shade, beach shelters and conveniences make these islands popular with picnickers.
Sentosa is the largest and happens to be one of the top islands in Singapore. It is known as Singapore's Resort Island, it overflows with sights. The pioneers of Singapore and the Surrender Chamber take you back to Singapore's history. Be a gunner at an old but restored British Fort Siloso, experience Volcano land, and much more. There are also white sandy beach stretches namely Palawan, Siloso, Tanjong, nature-themed places like Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon, Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom, and countless more other attractions. It is one of the top islands in Singapore.

Pulua Ubin is another top islands in Singapore. You can take a Bum boat from Changi Pier out to Pulau Ubin for a daytime getaway from the city. Bicycles and blades for rent are cheap. Great place to exercise with no traffic. Ubin is one of the only places left to see a real kampong style of living. It is about 10 kilometers around the island with little quiet and private beaches. At the main pier there are a few restaurants that serve excellent and inexpensive fresh fish meals and wonderful spicy Mee Goreng.
The other top islands in Singapore which are worth watching are Pulau Sekang which is a quaint village on stilts that time has forgotten. This is the Singapore that Raffles saw in 1819, one traditional Malay fishing village. A handful of villagers lead simple lives in their wooden houses and sturdy boats. Shells and coral are available at bargain prices but there is no charge for the menagerie of birds, monkeys and goats. Pulua Hantu is one of the top islands in Singapore."Hantu" is the Malay word for ghost and Pulau Hantu was aptly named. For it was here that ancient Malay warriors once dueled to the death. Despite the forbidden name, Pulau Hantu is a favorite with fishing and snorkeling enthusiasts because of its sheltered beaches and inviting waters.
