He was the first king in this country who took several steps for the utmost development of all the aspects in Thailand. 5th December on the other hand is known as the King's birthday. This day, like the Queen's birthday, is also celebrated as the Father's Day in Thailand. The area of Grand Palace is the center of all the celebrations that take place during this time.
