The construction works that are going on across the whole of the United Arab Emirates have led to the extinction of many animals in the country. This is a global problem these days as urbanization has shown its dark sides by encroaching into the natural habitat of the wild animals. The gradual shrinking of forest area has caused some wild animals to face the threat of total annihilation. Species such as striped hyena, the Arabian Oryx, houbara bustard, etc. are on the verge of extinction.
