Wine Tasting Festival in Bangalore
On July 10, 2009, Bangalore hosted its first wine festival. It was inaugurated by Umesh V. Katti, Horticulture Minister, and legislator D. Hemachandra Sagar. On the inaugural day of this three day wine festival, the connoisseurs had the chance to taste rose wine, white wine and red wine which are brewed here. The entire credit goes to Karnataka Wine Board who took the initiative and conceptualized this fun filled colorful carnival in line with some of the renowned wine festivals that take place in developed countries across the globe.
Apart from free wine tasting on the first day, a seminar was also arranged for educating the farmers, general public and industrialists about wine cultivation, wine production and contract farming. The opportunities which are available in the state were also discussed. To sum up, the entire three day wine festival at Bangalore was a grand success with wine lovers busy visiting the stalls of several wineries.
Columbus Wine Festival
The Columbus Wine Festival which was held between August 7, 2009 and August 08, 2009 was a grand success.
This fun filled fiesta creates a platform to taste different types of wines from all over the world. What’s more You can even gain knowledge about the new varieties of wines from the experts. Cooking demonstrations and wine seminars are organized by event sponsors, area chefs, restaurants and exhibiting wineries. Niagara Wine Festival
An upcoming event, the Niagara Wine Festival will be held from September 18 to September 27, 2009. Wine lovers can enjoy over 100 events which include wine tasting, tours to wineries, concerts, artisan shows, live entertainment, Niagara cuisine and wine seminars. The Niagara Wine Festival which was held last year was also a grand success and attracted a large number of visitors.
Cincinnati Wine Festival
The 20th Annual Cincinnati International Wine Festival will be held from March 11 to March 13, 2010. It is indeed a great time for the wine lovers as the festival is all about good food, wine and music. So just be there to catch the glimpse of the 2010 Cincinnati International Wine Festival. “The Grand Tastings” is the main event of this wine festival and features a large number of wineries offering different varieties of wines along with mouthwatering food and live music.
